Bigger Than Beauty Skincare

Background

I was tasked to develop the look and feel of a new sister skincare brand to Thrive Causemetics. What started as a blank page quickly turned into a logo, color palette, story in photography, and 61 pages of brand guidelines.

I was challenged to make something fresh and competitive while remaining timeless, classic, and most importantly an approachable brand that wouldn't alienate existing loyal customers.

Through a lot of collaboration, research, exploration, and multiple rounds of revisions, the art direction for Bigger Than Beauty Skincare was built in less than 6 months.

Mood Board

  • Primary - Cashmere is a serene blue that evokes a sense of calm.

    Secondary- Turquoise, Lime + Alabaster

    Neutrals- Concrete, Emerald Black, Linen

  • Model photography should feel casual and showcase products in use.

    Product photgraphy is simple, clean, and clinical. Lighting should be bright with plenty of dimmension. Logos and components should be clear and easy to read.

  • Bigger Than Beauty skincare is focused on impactful results made easy. The brand feels very clinical without being stale and offers something for everyone. Skin is personal and we tap into that through our imagery and messaging.
